|   | | August 2 - Yes was the majority answer after a leading American TV network, CNBC, conducted a poll last week amongst its viewers to find out how many Americans believe gambling online should be legalized.
In fact, 91 percent of the 2500 people who took part in the poll said 'yes',
that gambling online should be legalized and regulated in the United States.
With the current 'witch hunt' in America concerning gambling online, many
organizations, such as the PokerPlayers Alliance and the American Gambling
Association, have conducted surveys to find out what America really thinks about
the banning and criminalization of online gambling in their country.
Interestingly, all have come up with similar results which is that the vast
majority of Americans see nothing wrong with gambling online, and view it as a
freedom of choice issue.
Even the highly-respected Wall Street Journal ran a poll showing that 85% of
Americans oppose any form of online gambling ban.
There seems to be a feeling amongst the more rational of online gambling experts
that the industry should first be comprehensively analyzed before any laws are
passed.
This in order to properly explore the benefits of legalizing, regulating and
taxing the American online gambling industry.
