|   | | May 9 - One of the world's leading online casino software developers,
Microgaming, has announced that it will absorb two of its online gambling brands
into a single Microgaming brand.
Jackpot Madness and The Prima Poker Network, are
set to be absorbed into one Microgaming brand later this year in order to simplify the company's
communications and marketing strategy.
A Microgaming spokesperson said that the change was designed to simplify all
future communications and branding, by creating a larger brand impact through
the consolidation of multiple brands into a single, all-encompassing brand.
Microgaming is well known for promoting safe, fair, intuitive, entertaining
and lucrative online gambling.
Said Microgaming CEO, Roger Raatgever 'It's no secret that we have been a leader
in the online gambling software industry for over 10 years, in which time our
various and separate brand names have served us extremely well by attracting
numerous online gamblers.
'Now, however, we are entering a new stage of growth and believe that these
changes are necessary to move forward and maintain our status as a leading
supplier of top-end online casino gambling software,' he said.
As a result of this change, Monte Carlo Millions, a major Monaco-based poker
tournament traditionally sponsored by the Prima Network, will be discontinued in
favor of new and exciting events yet to be announced.
This year alone Microgaming has launched 60 new state-of-the art online gambling games.
