March 21 - There is much speculation within the online gambling community as to
whether ex-FireOne executive, Mitch Garber will succeed Richard Segal as
PartyGaming CEO.
Both the British and German media have been widely speculating that Garber will
replace Segal as head of the giant online gambling operation, which listed on
the London Stock Exchange last year.
There have been reports that an announcement will be made by
PartyGaming
headquarters this week to announce the new appointment.
Segal tendered his resignation from PartyGaming after turning down a request to
move to the group's Gibraltar centre of operations with his family.
Mitch Garber, who recently resigned from online payment firm, FireOne, has been
widely tipped to succeed Segal when he officially leaves PartyGaming on June 1st
this year.
Insiders have speculated that Garber's package with PartyGaming may be worth 9
million pounds a year excluding share options.
PartyGaming owns and operates
PartyPoker, one of the most popular online poker
rooms in the world.
