US Online Casino Poker Advertising Monitored by Government
>>

December 4 - Online casino websites, particularly online poker rooms,
are being flagged by US governmental agencies in terms of their apparent
disregard for online gambling and online poker advertising restrictions.
The advertising of online poker rooms, in particular, seems to have caught the
eye of the United States government judging by the US Justice Department's
obvious targeting of well-known American media and advertising agencies.
The agencies targeted have accepted and run advertising campaigns on behalf of
organizations belonging to the online poker fraternity which is supposedly
illegal.
However, publications like The New York Post have reported that a few online
poker rooms have figured out how to bypass the legal issues surrounding
online poker advertising.
They simply advertise a 'free online poker site' which contains online poker
tips, games and strategies but no actual online poker facilities.
Sites like
these prompt poker players to seek out actual online poker gambling portals
where they can gamble online for real.
