It seems these days like everyone wants things simplified. With life being so complicated at times, it makes sense that people would like to take it easy while at leisure. Blackjack can be leisure, but for most people that read this site, it is a bit more than a fun way to spend your time. Is there a way I can help trick people into playing Blackjack perfectly and make them think they are really having fun? Let's see!
People normally learn to count using one deck. Then they have to learn to divide the count, or running count (RC) by the number of decks left to be played and use this new number, the true count (TC) to make betting decisions and playing decisions with. Not only is this a pain, it also shows the player how seldom they can have the advantage, especially in 6 and 8 deck games. People have invented counts that you don't ever need to divide for, but are more complicated in every other way.
The last time I was in Las Vegas I often found myself betting the RC and not bothering with the TC for betting decisions. I started off betting red against a two deck game. Since they seldom deal more than 70 cards, it worked out more like I was betting the TC in $10 units most of the time. As the week went on I was betting green on the TC and skipping around with reds between $5 and $10 bets. This is like betting two reds on the RC.
