April 11 - Poland will be establishing laws that will legalise online gambling. These laws will set new regulations so that companies can be properly licensed and taxed.
According to sources, Poland decided to modify existing laws to integrate the requirements of this booming industry. September should see the implementation of these changes.
Sources stated that the reason for these new laws by Poland comes after the EU ruling for online gambling in the case of Placanica. What happened in this case was the court ruled Italy can not use criminal law to prohibit online gaming companies licensed in a different EU nation from accepting bets from Italy.
