February 4 - Playtech issued a press release this week outlining
details of its brand new mobile gaming platform, known as Mobile Web Apps.
The platform allows players a seamless gaming experience, with the chance of
switching between their PCs and mobile phones quickly and easily and using the
same the log in information.
Many of the games offered can be played instantly, without the need to
download them first, making for some of the best instant mobile gaming seen in
the industry in a long time.
There are currently a dozen casino games lined up to launch on the new mobile
betting platform, with blackjack, Jacks or Better video poker and Gold Rally
progressive slot game the first on the list.
Other games in the pipeline include three new games for Java apps that
include Pop Bingo and a fixed odds game, Rock, Paper, Scissors.
The new Mobile Web Apps is supported by leading mobile platforms in the
industry, such as iPhone, iPod Touch and Android phones.
Another great feature of this product is its Casino Packs that essentially
has players creating their own download packages that has the support of the
Playtech brand.
In other Playtech news, the group signed a partnership agreement with Virgin
Games that will see its new partner Gaming Technology Solutions license its edGE
software platform to Virgin games.
"Virgin is setting new benchmarks in terms of its player promotion and
marketing activities," said the Chief Economist Officer of Playtech, Mor Weizer.
