September 4 -As a further step to establish its excellent reputation in the
online gambling industry, PartyGaming was proud to announce this week
that three of its operations have been awarded the prestigious eCOGRA seal for
safe and fair gaming.
The non profit eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance watchdog
group has stringent standards that have to be met before online gambling groups
can claim its seal, and these standards have to be maintained through regular
checks even after the seals are awarded.
The Chief Executive Officer for eCOGRA, Andrew Beveridge said about the
awards: "After extensive and testing by the eCOGRA professional compliance team,
PartyGaming passed with flying colors. Our independent directors have awarded
the revocable Safe and Fair seal, and are satisfied that PartyCasino.com,
PartyPoker.com and EmpirePoker.com meet the required standards for responsible
gambling, player protection, management and fiscal integrity and operational
best practice."
As a member of the European Gaming and Betting Association, the
Gibraltar-based PartyGaming is no stranger to the demands of a high standard of
operation at its sites. However, the eCOGRA seal is an extra feather in the cap
for this successful company.
Speaking about the new seals, PartyGaming's Chief Executive Officer, Jim
Ryan, was naturally satisfied. "PartyGaming is committed to responsible gaming,"
he said, "and wants all of our players to play on our online sites for the right
reasons - to have fun and to play within their means. These new seals show our
sites provide our players with a very high level of protection backed by our
EGBA membership and eCOGRA accreditation."
"The eCOGRA standards," continued Ryan, "are focused on providing player
assurances in the areas of fair gaming, player protection and responsible
operator behavior and the EGBA standards take this level of commitment further
and include standards which allow us, as a member, to demonstrate that we are on
par with, or exceed, the standards required by leading licensing jurisdictions
and state monopolies around the globe."
The flagship website for Party Gaming remains the once ubiquitous Party Poker.
