|   | | June 29 - Parlay Entertainment Incorporated, a top Canadian online casino and gaming software developer, has announced that it has signed a deal with the national lottery operator in Lithuania. The software licensing deal will see the lottery operator Olifeja using Parlay 5.1 software for Lithuanian national lottery.
The launch date of the Lithuanian national lottery is set for some time later this summer and Olifeja will be using Parlay's 5.1 open platform to manage all aspects of the lottery's operations.
Mindaugas Marcinkevicius, Head of the Online Initiative for Olifeja said that the deal was in the making for a number of months, but now that it is finalized, they are thrilled to be working with one of the "true innovators of the online gaming industry."
"Olifeja has a land-based retail network of lottery terminals, a weekly television show and a number of unique local Lithuanian games. Only an open platform like Parlay5 gives us the level of flexibility and expandability to let us tie them together as part of a comprehensive gaming strategy," said Marcinkevicius.
A spokesperson from Parlay said that they were very pleased and proud to be chosen as the technology provider for the Lithuanian national lottery. The spokesperson continued that Parlay's open platform and activities in other European countries make them the perfect match for running Olifeja's software. The flexibility of Parlay's open platform software and the intricate needs of Olifeja's operating system were well suited to each other and both companies would greatly benefit from working together.
