February 26 - eCOGRA - The online gambling industry standards authority lately conducted an in depth study of the global gaming industry. The survey consisted of almost 11,000 players from 96 countries.
It showed an interesting figure - the number of women poker players is increasing. 30% of all poker players are women. This figure has risen if compared to only 15% in 2004. According to the survey, women play online poker to practice their poker skills before playing land-based games.
