| March 6 - YouTeller, which was considered to be the solution to the departure of the leading online gambling payment solution, Neteller, has stumbled upon another bump. Neteller claim their registered trademark name is being infringed upon.
YouTeller launched shortly after Neteller left the U.S. online gambling industry, but has had a tough time getting started.
Neteller's lawyers have drawn up an order demanding that YouTeller must change their name. Today marks the last day in which the order has given YouTeller time to respond and inform lawyers of their intentions to comply with the order. If they fail to do so, the case may likely go to court.
YouTeller most likely would not be such a threat to Neteller prior to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. However, taking into account Neteller is facing their own battle with the U.S. Department of Justice, lawyers are worried that the use of the YouTeller brand will be confusing to U.S. online gamblers and thus draw more negative attention to Neteller.
YouTeller's director, Florian Schweitzer has asked everyone to remain patient while the situation is corrected.
