January 22 - The ban for US players by the online gambling payment processor Neteller came suddenly and abruptly with the arrest of former executives.

The company has reported that this shut off of more than 65% of their business by the ban of US players could also have an affect on Isle of Man registered Neteller. They operate a call centre with over 700 employees, with more than 300 of them operating telephone support for mainly US clients.

A couple of workers at Neteller's northeast office informed a local newspaper that they were preparing for layoffs. Some stated that there had recently already been more than 24 people let go.
