February 6 - One of the world's most well-known and visited online poker
sites, Absolute Poker, has entered into an agreement with the World Poker Tour (WPT) to promote its top event of the season.
The 3rd Annual Five-Star World Poker classic will be held from April 4th to
April 25th at the luxurious Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas.
While Absolute Poker's agreement with the WPT will allow players from its site
to win places at the coveted event. The main event buy-in is $25 500, which is
not surprising giving the event's $2 million first prize, out of a total prize
fund of $8 million.
Said Gian Perroni of Absolute Poker, 'Online players that earn places at the
classic will have a chance to win the World Poker Tour's most prestigious event
while being treated like VIPs.
'This is a great opportunity for our online players to meet and play against
some of the finest poker players in the world, as well as represent Absolute
Poker', he explained.
The online casino will be hosting daily poker satellite tournaments that will send its players to their weekly all-expenses paid WPT Main Events, including automatic buy-ins to their games.
