Online Casino Ban Opposed by US Voters, Poll Shows
>>

April 26 - Online casino gambling is currently a controversial issue in the
United States and a recently conducted poll has shown just how wide the gap is
between how the US government and its citizens perceive online gambling.
The poll was conducted earlier this year by Zogby International, across 30 000
registered US voters. The results showed that almost 80% of Americans are
opposed to the pending anti-online gambling bills currently being bounced around
Congress.
Interestingly, the poll revealed that a staggering 78% of Americans believe that
it is completely inappropriate for the US government to introduce laws that
restrict adults from accessing online casino and online gambling websites of
their choice, from the privacy of their own homes.
The big question is whether the US government will actually listen to the will
of its citizens as well as remember that the United States has been built on a
foundation of 'freedom of choice' and democracy.
Why now then is the government attempting to curb these freedoms?
