November 24 - Online Casino and Games Group, Virgin Games, has launched a
poker rooms that is part of the Boss Media Poker network. The site has been up
and running since earlier this year and was officially launched in London this
week...
Virgin Games will start to actively market the site in 2006 and plan some
daring campaigns, including a grand prize that will give one player entry into
the three biggest land-based poker tournaments.
Virgin also claims that it will invest heavily into customer service and
retention. The key to this will be the launch of a loyalty program, and will tap
into the resources of the Virgin group. This makes for interesting loyalty
programs with for instance the airline.
The marketing message will be that poker is not just about making money, but
also the fun aspect.
