September 4 - Aid for victims of the recent hurricane Katrina disaster is coming
in from far and wide, including via members of the online gambling industry.
Bodog online casino has pledged the winnings from five upcoming specially staged benefit poker tournaments to various Katrina disaster relief organizations,
including the Red Cross.
This is not the first time that online casino operators have stepped in to help
with global disasters. Many online casinos donated generously towards helping Tsunami victims

It is estimated that the recent hurricane displaced as many as million people in the
southern states of America, leaving the bulk of them homeless and without
