November 25 - Online casino advertising in the United Kingdom is under threat
as it is reported that the government is looking into allegations that offshore
online casinos are breaking the law with their advertising campaigns...
Tessa Jowell, the culture secretary, has requested the Crown Prosecution
Service to investigate the legality of these advertisements and take appropriate
action.
She said that action will be taken if the actions are considered illegal.
This could be a huge setback for offshore online casinos, online poker rooms
and sports betting sites who spend millions on advertising in the United
Kingdom.
