August 24 - Play65, the online backgammon gaming site, has launched a new VIP club in a bid to attract new players and encourage more gameplay.
The pioneer site will award players cash and gifts in exchange for loyalty points that they accumulate through playing backgammon at Play65.
The founder of the site, Daniel Mester said: "Play65 continues to lead the online backgammon community, and once again proves to be the global pioneer by offering avid players the best rewards for their patronage."
Players earn points by playing real money games, with points awarded based on their gameplay in the preceding month.
Each real money game or tournament earns players points.
To reach bronze level, players need to accumulate 650 points, while silver status requires 3,000 points and Gold Status 10,000 points.
Gold status players are awarded the services of a personal account manager.
A consultant on the Play65 loyalty project, Shahar Attias of Hybrid Interaction said: "We are extremely excited about this project, and would like to thank the amazing professionals at Play65."
"If you are an online backgammon player, you have no reason to play anywhere else," he added.
Play65 was launched in 2004 and boasts the largest network of online backgammon players, with 5 million registered backgammon fans from around the globe.
Play65 has an exclusive gift shop where players can redeem points for prizes.
Another option is to swap loyalty points for cash or entry into tournaments at the site.
