calling himself PearlJammer earned himself $25 000 on Sunday last week after he
won a Bodog Poker $100k guaranteed poker tournament.
PearlJammer, who has proved himself to be a highly talented online poker player,
proved his talent for Texas Hold'em poker after he came tops out of a field of
887 players who entered the popular Bodog.com tournament offered by the leading
online poker room.
The intrepid online poker player made it to the final table of the tournament
with the second highest stack of chips and after many nail-biting hands
eventually found himself facing down chip leader, a player nicknamed 'Henge', in
an exciting heads-up match.
Although a 2 to 1 underdog, PearlJammer managed to stay the distance, drawing on
thousands of hours playing poker, to turn the (poker) tables on Henge and walk
away the Bodog Poker $100k Guaranteed tournament winner and $25k richer.
However, it is not only in online poker circles where PearlJammer has made his
mark but in land poker tournaments too, as he recently proved by taking part in
not one but four clashes at the recent 2007 World Series of Poker (WSOP), reaching the
final table in one.
PearlJammer also finished 12th at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Borgata event, and
3rd in a Borgata Super Satellite that earned him over $110k in winnings, no
small feat.
