September 16 - World Series of Poker Player Scott Neuman needed sponsorship for
the 2005 Borgata Poker Open, and top online casino and poker room,
Goldenpalace.com willingly obliged via eBay
for $10 000.
No stranger to outrageous publicity stunts, GoldenPalace has yet again grabbed
the gambling news headlines. The online gambling giant noticed Neuman's eBay
auction page and proceeded to outbid everyone else for the rights to sponsor the
top-rated poker player in the upcoming poker event.
The poker tournament will be held at Atlantic City's Borgata Casino and Spa,
from September 19 to September 22. Neuman will compete against the 'cream' of
high-stake Texas Hold'Em no limit poker players
under the GoldenPalace banner.
Neuman has an impressive poker record and usually places within the top 10
percent of the tournament he enters. He told reporters that should he win the $7
000 000 top prize, he would donate $120 000 to a worthwhile charity
organization.
Said Richard Rowe, GoldenPalace.com CEO, 'This is a great opportunity for us to
support an accomplished poker player like Scott, as well have the opportunity to
donate money to his favorite charity and to victims of Hurricane
Katrina.'
Neuman will be sporting various GoldenPalace branded pieces of clothing as well
as a temporary GoldenPalace tattoos on his cheek and wrists.
