The 16 year old Bieber donated a snippet of his famous locks to TV show host, Ellen DeGeneres, telling her to put it up for auction and raise money for her favourite charity.
DeGeneres chose The Gentle Barn Foundation which cares for abused farm animals and inner-city, at-risk, special needs kids.
The locks were put up for auction, and after active bidding, Golden Casino's offer of $40,668.00 was accepted.
This is an incredible amount paid, considering that a clump of hair belonging to Elvis Presley went for only $15,000 in 2009.
But Golden Palace Casino was quite happy to pay for the hair, knowing that the money would go to a good cause.
The casino also said that the locks of hair would go on their own mini tour and all proceeds would go to charity.
Golden Palace Casino has dealt with an auction run by Ellen DeGeneres before. In 2004, the casino was the top bidder for an exclusive Cabbage Patch Kid doll created to look like Ellen.
The money from that auction went to hurricane relief.
