| | | June 19 - In anticipation for the action of Wimbledon and the desire to bring its customers expert advice from one of the best sources in the industry, the gaming group, Expekt.com has signed on tennis great and International Hall of Fame inductee, Mats Wilander, onto its books.
Wilander, who will represent Sweden as captain of its team for the David Cup tennis championship, will work for the group at the upcoming Wimbledon tennis competition in the UK.
When asked what his role at the gambling site would be, Wilander said: "I will do analysis and predictions on the big tournaments and be the face of Expekt.com in tennis - I am really looking forward to this."
Wilander, who is considered a fine sportsman, as well as an intelligent advisor on the game said that he was anticipating the new job. "It will be a new step for me going into the gaming industry," he said, "and it will be interesting and challenging to give my view on the matches and to find the winners at Expekt.com."
Wilander is not the only sports person or professional gamer working with Expekt.com. The group also signed on world poker champ Scott Nguyen to serve as its poker ambassador.
The company also follows a policy of signing up sports greats in its bigger local markets, such as Fredi Brobic to serve as ambassador for its German soccer market, and Zibi Boniek in Poland.
Dan Vikman, The Public Relations Manager at Expekt.com promised customers exciting months ahead. "We will have plenty of surprises coming up and our customers will for example be able to play tennis against Mats Wilander when they take part in a contest during the summer," he said.
