| February 20 - There is some major confusion amongst players and all in the industry with a press release this week from the PR company supporting the Doyle's Room.com poker site.
There was a recent announcement that its Tribeca network was closing to US players. Doyle's release announced its looming exit from the US market, which disappointed a huge amount of players who were hoping the venue, would find a way to continue servicing the substantial US demand for poker games.
In a short amount of time, this was denied by Doyle's Room spokespersons, who relieved US players that the poker room would be hanging in with US business and planned a new network.
Shortly Doyle's Room confirmed the original release (withdrawal from the US market was correct) and that US IP's would be blocked. Full Tilt Poker has offered a substitute, allowing players from Doyle's to transfer funds, points and bonuses to their web site.
