March 23 - Another group to break into the Italian gambling market is 888's
business to business division, Dragonfish.
The group has signed a deal with
Bwin Italia to provide it with a full suite of casino games that will
serve the growing Italian industry.
Italia has recently introduced a change to its legislation that will see
gambling become more readily available to the public, subject to strict
government regulations.
"The synergy of bwin's brand presence and our premium casino offering
provides a potent combination, and is an ideal way to enter the growing Italian
market," noted the Managing Director of Dragonfish, Gabi Campos.
Dragonfish will supply Bwin Italia with a full range of download games, as
well as flash games to serve a large customer base.
The titles will include third party brands, as well as proprietary developed
games.
"Signing an agreement with such internationally renowned operators shows the
quality of the Dragonfish offering and our capability to provide the ideal
platform from which to launch a casino offering in newly regulated markets,"
said Campos.
The groups went through a full process of integrating Dragonfish's casino
lobby and back-end tools into Bwin's current platform infrastructure.
These include payment and customer support services,.
